Fanta Apple
Overview
I’m not sure if this is a Fall or Winter flavor of Fanta but it’s been sold in my local grocery for a while now. I can’t remember about last year but this year, there are 2 designs: regular Apple and a special Find the Apple. The regular Apple has the standard Fanta design on it - brand name, product name, image of the product while Find the Apple has a lot of people on it, much like Where’s Waldo?, with a hidden Apple. But unlike Where’s Waldo?, it’s actually quite easy to find.
The Product Examined
The apple flavor is quite mellow and almost tastes like fruity gingerale. This was a surprise because many Japanese sodas have a strong, artificial flavor (C.C. Lemon, Melon Fanta, Orange Fanta, to name a few). It almost reminded me of Mitsuya Cider…except Mitsuya Cider has a stronger (and better) flavor than this soda. All in all, not bad for an apple soda but it wouldn’t be my first pick if there are alternatives on the shelves.
