Pocky Dessert Strawberry Cheesecake
Overview
I found this Pocky outside of the home shopping area. I was kind of surprised because I thought I had all the Dessert Pocky covered. Glico has many strawberry Pocky flavors but this one is theoretically a bit different - strawberry cheesecake flavor. I saved it up for lunch time with the OLs and then asked for results.
The Product Examined
I normally steer clear of white chocolate because I simply don’t like it. However, as part of the Pocky series, I had to try it. Like the rest of the Dessert Pocky series, it’s covered in a thick layer of white chocolate with strawberry flavored swirls on the outside. In terms of flavor, it was not as bad as I thought it would be (given how much white chocolate was on it). The strawberry flavor is strong but not terribly artificial.

White choco are not exactly my forte, but I do have a weakness for strawberry. Probably I’ll buy it if it ever got around the convenience store round my area.
@Nagato: I am! But I admittedly hate white chocolate. I think it tastes like plastic.

I’m still wondering till this day as to why Pocky is known as Rocky from where I come from…
Sometimes I wish companies stick to what they’re best at… rarely do these unique offerings taste very good. It sounds like it would be overly sweet.
@Shin: According to Wikipedia, it was done to avoid a vulgarity?
@IcyStorm: It was overly sweet, which I find white chocolate to be. I really like their chocolate deviations (most of the time) but the white chocolate ones…most of the time, they’re just not as good (IMHO).
Seems like you’re much more critical than your peers. :p
I wouldn’t mind trying this, but the only Pocky flavors that get ported to the US are Chocolate and Strawberry.
