Pizza Hut Japan 2

Aug 24 2008 • Food

So what I thought was a finished post turned out to be false - Pizza Hut also has a rotating menu. I’ve added the newer ones below and will start checking back regularly to see if they have anything new.

The one that really gets my interest is the Salad de Pizza. Without any kind of visible sauce in either the picture or the ingredient list, how do the toppings stay on the pizza? It kind of reminds me of a huge taco salad….

New Pizzas

Pizzahut Gourmet

Pizzahut Gourmet
Green peppers, ham, bacon, onion, basil, mushrooms, bacon bits, black pepper, sliced tomatoes, Italian dressing, and garlic chips

Pork Grill

From the list, “Salad de Pizza” is my enemy! Too much veggie (I dislike corn!!!!) and a meat eater like me cannot possibly survive on it. “Pizzahut Gourmet” definitely looks much more delicious than “Salad de Pizza”. ~<3

I’m guessing the salad just gets tossed on the pizza after it’s been baked (just the crust maybe?). I like a good balance of meats and veggies myself so I guess Salad de Pizza isn’t for me either (though not my enemy like Hynavian XD)

The salad pizza is just plain weird. Pizzahut Gourmet looks rather tasty. Not sure if it’ll taste as tasty though.

Spicy Purugogi looks awesome! Reminds me of this Mediterranean restaurant’s flatbread, though probably a much different taste.

@Hynavian: Dislike corn??? T-T Actually, I think most of the others look better, just because they look more filling.

@issa-sa: There’s tuna and such too but you’re right…it’s pretty one sided.

@double: Pizzahut Groumet sounds almost like the US versions of deluxe pizza sets. Those are pretty delicious!

@Ryan A: The only thing I’m not feeling is the mayonnaise. I don’t put mayonnaise on bulgogi…why would I put it on my bulgogi pizza? Strange.

Seconded on the salad pizza. I rather order something else and have salad as a side order. Not that I do, anyway.

The Salad de Pizza is weird.I wonder how youre supposed to eat it without spilling the whole topping?Roll it up?

Id go for the purogogi

Man. You really love posting about food. The Korean BBQ pizza piqued my interest.

@Shin: Not a veggie fan either?

@Blowfish: Rolling it up would be a practical way of eating it! I didn’t think of that.

@Yamcha: I do. Food culture and history is probably one of my primary interests, right up there with Japanese. Anime probably takes a 3rd or 4th in my line of interests at this point. Hence, the imbalance of posts here.

A bulgogi pizza? I’d love to try that one ^^

pizza… ~DROOLS. i haven’t had pizza hut in months.

my pizza philosophy is: why bother with the veggies? pizza is not the most nutrious food around (fast food not talking about the gourmet ones), why go to the trouble of hiding it with healthy stuff when the cheese alone will clog your heart anyway?

@biankita: Veggies are a step up from pepperoni or sausage. But it’s true that the pizza chains who sustain college students during finals week do slather on that cheese way too much. I frequently have to blot the grease off before eating.

I want Spicy Purugogi pizza. I want it NOW. I haven’t had bulgolgi (lol, purugogi?) or galbi in a while…
