Baskin Robbins: October Flavors
Oct 21 2008 • Snacks
For Halloween, there are 4 flavors of the month. I didn’t think Japan celebrated Halloween so much but I’ve seen far more decorations than in the past so I guess this is changing. I doubt there will be trick-or-treating but at least there are some interesting flavors! I tried Dolce for Vampire and Ghost World and Dolce for Vampire won, hands down. The blood orange flavor is absolute delicious. Why don’t we have more blood orange flavored stuff in the US?

Baseball Park Each time you eat this, your feeling is excitement, as if at a baseball park! The fun snack texture of popcorn, pretzels, and peanuts is set into caramel popcorn ice cream deliciously! (NOTE: I have no idea what’s actually in this ice cream but from appearance alone, it’s different from Baseball Nut, which can be bought in the US.) |
Darjeeling Tea Carefully selected Darjeeling used lavishly, authentic tea flavor. The refined, rich fragrance heals the spirit. |

I’ve never been a big Baskin Robbins fan, to be honest. I do like the looks of these ice creams, though. They’re very pretty!
Ghost World looks nice. I really do not like orange in my ice-cream. >_<
@Erin: Me either, actually. I rarely eat ice cream. I’m more interested in flavors though - I can see some of these succeeding in the US but for some reason, Baskin Robbins tends to push their awful candy bar flavors on us.
Conceptually, all those flavours sound like they’re made of pure win. Considering I’ve only had cheap university coop ice cream fro a while, I say I’m giving myself a treat this Halloween :P
@issa-sa: I’d try all 4 if you can! I might also go back but I’m not sure…it’s getting pretty cold now. :( I’d rather be eating something warm with apples.
I’ll take a Twinberry Cheesecake with some coconut flakes sprinkled on top, please
Oh…now we’re going Halloween when it comes to ice cream flavorings too. They have interesting names, like Dolce for Vampire and Ghost World but for the “Other Flavors” category, “Baseball Park” just sounds so out of place somehow. >.< Baseball and park, how are they related? @_@
@blissmo: Coconut flakes on cheesecake? Hmm….
@Hynavian: I think it’s their way of saying ballpark, except because it’s US slang, the Japanese probably don’t know it. So they threw in baseball to make it clear. I have no way of confirming this though.

Dolce and Maho piqued my interest and look the tastiest of this month’s bunch.
